Someone told me that it’s a waste I’m not being creative at the moment, so I really want to resurrect some of the old projects that have fallen by the wayside over the last few years.
The front runner is Birmingham Subtracted.
This project involves doctored photographs of the city with all signage and advertising roomed, (subtracted) from the image.
I think it’s really interesting to imagine the city minus all the add ons, so it is stripped back to the bare street or building.
The first attempt was a rough sketch of an idea and was over worked, but I think with a bit of refinement this project could produce a really nice series of images.
